Time to bid farewell to a dramatic 2017

Rob George 31st Dec, 2017   0

WHAT a year it’s been for news across Worcester and Malvern.

From the dramatic General Election campaign to the Faithful City playing host to the final stage of cycling’s Tour of Britain, the Observer has brought you the news from your area throughout 2017.

Among the highlights was the launch of St Richard’s Hospice’s Worcester Stands Tall campaign and the warm tributes paid to ‘Mr Worcester’ Mike Layland who sadly passed away this year.

And there was plenty to talk about in Malvern with the Poolbrook Cafe showing true Christmas spirit in providing a Christmas Day dinner to those who would otherwise be alone.

The return of a post office to Lower Broadheath, the continued uncertainty of the town’s tourist information centre and improved bus services between Worcester and Malvern have also hit the headlines.

Your continued support enables us to bring you the very best of the local news, arts, entertainment, community and charity events and we love to hear from you.

A Happy New Year from all of us at the Observer!
