A CHILDREN’S charity is making its final call for volunteers to help in their fund-raising running event.

Organisers of the Acorns Triple Run are asking people to donate their time and get involved on Sunday June 21 at the Three Counties Showground in Malvern.

In the last decade more than 10,000 people have gotten involved in raising more than £350,000 for Acorns Children’s Hospice which is based on Bath Road.

Laura Heathfield, events manager, said: “This volunteers week, why not commit to putting your skills to good use at the Acorns Triple Run.

“We need route marshals for all distances, but especially the half marathon route. You could man a water station or help to direct the 1,000 plus participants as they arrive.

“The event really could not be the success that it is without our volunteers, so get in touch with us today to find out how you can join in this fantastic fund-raising event.”

The courses include a 1km Fun Run, the 5km Woodland Trial and the Malvern Half Marathon which raise money to go towards the £8million it costs to run the charities three hospices.
