STAFF from a technology company in Worcester are celebrating after receiving a prestigious award from the Queen.
PCA Predict, formerly Postcode Anywhere, welcomed the Queen’s Lord-Lieutenant and other local dignitaries to their Waterside premises at Diglis where they were recognised for the Queen’s Award for Enterprise Innovation 2016.
As the UK’s market leader for online address autofill, the company’s services are used by over 12,000 companies around the world.
Lt. Col. Patrick Holcroft, Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant for Worcestershire and his Deputy Andrew Grant bestowed the award for the company’s revolutionary address validation powered by Capture+ technology.
The service helps to make it quicker and easier for customers to look up their postcode when completing the checkout process online.
CEO Jamie Turner who co-founded PCA Predict in 2001 with his business partner and president Guy Mucklow, believes the Queen’s Award is a collective achievement.
Although the award-winning address validation solution was developed by him and his team, everyone in the business has contributed towards its success.
He said: “Today is all about marking our effort and achievement as a team and that’s why we wanted to share the celebrations with friends, family, community partners including our local suppliers and customers.”
