Worcester rail passengers urged to have their say at Foregate Street consultation

Worcester Editorial 31st Jul, 2019   0

A RALLYING call has gone out to rail passengers in Worcester to have their say on this summer’s timetable changes at an event at one of the city’s stations this week.

Officials from West Midlands Railway will be on hand to answer questions at the city’s Foregate Street station tomorrow (Thursday, August 1) from 4.30pm to 6.30pm.

The rearranged ‘Whistle Stop Tour’ session follows a similar event at Droitwich Spa station in July.

Passengers will be able to discuss the new West Midlands Railway timetable which was introduced in May, bringing in new direct services to more destinations, additional services throughout the week and both earlier and later services to and from many stations.

Richard Brooks, customer experience director for West Midlands Railway, said: “Our timetable improvements have provided new journey opportunities for passengers but we understand that changing times and carriage formations may mean making adjustments.

“This was the biggest timetable change in the West Midlands for more than a decade and we recognise the importance of listening to our customers and answering their questions.

“We have already taken on board feedback from across the region and I am pleased these ‘Whistle Stop Tour’ events will give our passengers another chance to discuss our timetables and services directly with our staff.”
