A POPULAR and much-loved Worcester park has scooped a top award from TripAdvisor for the second year in a row.

Worcester Woods Country Park, which is managed by Worcestershire County Council, has been awarded the Certificate of Excellence by the travel website.

Visitors to the park took to the website to describe Worcester Woods as a ‘wonderful find’ and ‘great for dog walks.’

The park features two nature reserves, a huge open field, busy Countryside Centre with café facilities and an adventure play area.

The prestigious award is given to an attraction if it receives consistently good reviews, which Worcester Woods has. It has also been given a 4.5 rating out of five.

Coun Lucy Hodgson, cabinet member with responsibility for communities, said: “Worcester Woods is a fantastic spot and much-loved by all ages.

“Whether you want to go down with your dog for a walk, take the kids to the adventure playground or just go down there to enjoy the many other facilities, it’s a fantastic site.

“To get good reviews consistently on TripAdvisor just goes to show how popular it is with visitors.”
