Work on new traffic lights for busy Fernhill Heath junction begins

Worcester Editorial 22nd Jul, 2019   0

WORK to install traffic lights at a busy junction in the heart of Fernhill Heath has got underway with drivers being warned of six weeks of disruption.

Taylor Wimpey North Midlands has begun work on putting in the lights at the junction of Hurst Lane and Droitwich Road close to The Bull Inn.

Work will take place between 7am and 7pm, seven days a week during the school summer holidays. Three way traffic lights will be in place for the next five weeks at the junction to allow work to be carried out.

Once completed, there will be a full weekend road closure at the junction of Hurst Lane and Droitwich Road.

It’s estimated the weekend closure will take place from Friday, August 30 while the road surfacing is completed.

All of the work is estimated to be completed by Monday, September 2.
