A REMEMBER Veterans keyworker, who on a day to day basis supports veterans in the criminal justice system, has been also working hard as a volunteer for Worcester Community Trust during the pandemic.
Lisa Burnett, who works for YSS (Your Support Services) has given her own time to help deliver meals and packages filled with essential items for the city’s most vulnerable on behalf of Worcester Community Trust.
Lisa said: “Worcester Community Trust is a fantastic asset to our community; offering support to vulnerable groups across Worcester, so giving up my own time to help during this time of COVID-19 was an easy decision to make.
“As a YSS Remember Veterans Link Worker supporting Veterans in the Criminal Justice System, it’s important to know what facilities and help are available to them and their families in Worcestershire. We see Worcester Community Trust as one of those facilities which is vital in helping us give support to those in our local Community including our Veterans.”
Coun Rob Adams, chairman of the Armed Forces Covenant in Worcestershire said: “I’d like to thank Lisa for all her hard work, it really does make a difference during these testing times and that is great to see.
“The YSS are just one of the charities across the county that are helping to ensure our veterans receive the help and support they need, and they are all doing a fantastic job to keep our veteran community safe and well.”
