A TALENTED young musician will be showcasing his cello skills this weekend at a special coffee concert in the city.

Harry Scott-Burt is set to perform with his parents, Nicholas and Catherine, in the Scott-Burt Piano Trio at St Martin’s Church in London Road on Saturday (September 28) from 10.30am until 11.30am.

The eight-year-old took up playing the instrument two years ago and has been honoured with a number of distinctions. He is now set to audition for the National Children’s Orchestra.

The coffee concerts have been held at the church since last September raising more than £2,000 for an array of charities.

Visitors can enjoy a cup of coffee or tea with home-made cakes and biscuits alongside the live music.

Proceeds from tomorrow’s free event will go to the Benslow Instrument Loan Scheme which supports talented young musicians by loaning them instruments.
