Arr relishing Twickenham trip

HOMEGROWN scrum half Jonny Arr said Worcester Warriors are ‘buzzing’ ahead of their first appearance at Twickenham on Saturday.

Worcester will go up against Aviva Premiership defending champions Saracens as part of the London Double-Header which also sees Wasps take on London Irish.

Arr, who has made 172 appearances for Warriors since making his first team debut in 2007, was part of the side which took on Sarries at Wembley five years ago.

The 26-year-old believes the experience of playing at England Rugby’s national stadium would be just as special.

“The chance to play at Twickenham has certainly created a buzz at the club,” he said. “If I am involved it will be a great experience.

“We played them at Wembley a few years ago and that was a great thing to be a part of, so Twickenham will be exactly the same and the team are really looking forward for to it.”

Arr said he also expected the Warriors fans and his family to make their voices heard at the 82,000-capacity stadium.

“I am sure we will bring plenty of supporters down with us which will hopefully give us a bit of boost,” he said.

“It will also be nice to have my family there. They don’t miss many Worcester games, so it will be great for them and it will be nice to see some old friends as well.”
