City tackle Haughmond in Boxing Day cracker

Worcester Editorial 24th Dec, 2019   0

MID-TABLE Worcester City will return to action at the Victoria Ground on Boxing Day with a clash against Haughmond.

The Blue and Whites were left frustrated on Saturday (December 21) when their visit to the Black Country to face Lye Town again fell victim to the weather.

A waterlogged pitch claimed the game which had already been rearranged once following a cup clash for City earlier in the season.

The Blue and Whites will be keeping their fingers crossed for better weather over the hectic Christmas period which sees them face four games in 13 days.

A trip to Highgate United follows on Saturday (December 28) before 2020 starts with two games at the Victoria Ground in league and cup.

City welcome AFC Wulfrunians on January 4 before the much-anticipated local derby cup clash with Worcester Raiders at the Victoria Ground on Wednesday, January 8.

Admission prices for the Boxing Day game with Haughmond are £8 for adults, £6 concessions, £5 for young adults, £3 for 12 to 16-year-olds and free for those under 12 with an adult.
