ACADEMY hooker Jack Singleton will make his England debut in their Old Mutual Wealth Cup clash against the Barbarians at Twickenham on Sunday (kick off 3pm, live on Sky Sports HD).
Head coach Eddie Jones selected the uncapped 21-year-old in his starting line-up earlier today (Thursday) for the Red Roses match against a star-studded Barbarians team.
Fellow Worcester player Will Spencer has been placed on the extended bench, whilst Nick Schonert and Ryan Mills miss out through injury.
Jones said: “While we have some really experienced players starting the game, there is a great opportunity for some of the younger players to show what they are about against a Barbarians team full of quality international players.
“We’ll be treating this game as a Test match and expecting the Barbarians to start the game quickly. This match will be crucial preparation ahead of our two-Test series against Argentina next month.”
England take on Argentina on Saturday, June 10 and Saturday, June 17.
