DANNY Jackman is set to follow in his grandfather’s footsteps after agreeing a deal to join Worcester City.
The 31-year-old, who is grandson of former City favourite Bill Jackman, will make the switch from Kidderminster Harriers where he played 51 games.
Worcester-born Jackman, who has also previously played for Gillingham, Northampton Town and Stockport County, said he was delighted to commit his future to the Blue and Whites.
“I am looking forward immensely to playing for my hometown club,” he said.
“There are obviously great memories within the family at Worcester City, in big games in front of big crowds. I would like to see that happen again.”
The left back featured in City’s 2-0 victory over Stratford Town on Saturday along with Connor Gudger who has also been snapped up by manager Carl Heeley.
Gudger had been playing for Northern Premier League outfit Barwell after making 48 appearances for Tamworth.
