Paycare becomes a new sponsor for Stars

Worcester Editorial 26th Feb, 2022   0

ONE of the country’s elite netball teams has gained a new sponsor in the form of Paycare.

The not-for-profit health cash plan provider has announced its partnership with Severn Stars – the Netball Superleague franchise co-owned by the University of Worcester and the University of Gloucestershire.

The team includes many of the best UK and international players, including new signing Cathrine Tuivaiti from New Zealand, who is one of the most high-profile netballers in the world.

With the Commonwealth Games being hosted in the Midlands this year, it’s hoped this will not only help gain 2018 gold medallists England another medal, but will also further increase participation and spectator numbers.

Severn Stars’ general manager, Claire Sanders, said she was pleased Paycare had decided to join their sponsor family.

“They have come on board at a very exciting time for the franchise,” she said. “We are very grateful for their support and are looking forward to developing the partnership over the season.”
