WARRIORS have confirmed Val Rapava Ruskin will leave Sixways at the end of the season to join local rivals Gloucester Rugby.

The prop has made 56 appearances for Warriors since joining the club in 2014.

Head Coach Carl Hogg said: “Val has been an important member of our squad over the last few years and will continue to wear the Warriors shirt with pride and work hard to ensure we reach our targets during the rest of the campaign.

“We wish him all the best at Gloucester.”

Rapava Ruskin said: “When I left Toulon, Warriors were the team who saw my potential and gave me the opportunity to play in the Premiership.

“I would like to thank Carl Hogg for mentoring me throughout my three years at the Club and developing me from an A League player into a starting Premiership loosehead.

“Next season is something I’m not thinking about at the moment. My focus now is on developing further, playing well for Warriors and giving my all for my teammates and the Club.

“Sixways is a great place for players to develop their game and reach their potential and I wish the Club all the best for the future.”
