Third time lucky as Worcester sign Rowe

WORCESTER City have added firepower to their ranks with the signing of prolific striker Ryan Rowe.

The 26-year-old joins from Conference North rivals Brackley Town and will be seen as the man to increase the Blue and Whites goal tally – which finished as the sixth lowest in the division last season.

Rowe, who also counts Stourbridge FC and Kidderminster Harriers on his CV, scored the winning goal for Brackley in their final day 1-0 victory over Hednesford Town, a result which spared Town their Conference North status.

Joint manager Carl Heeley said: “It is third time lucky in our attempts to sign Ryan after speaking with him last summer and also failing in another attempt midway through last season to tempt the player to join us.

“It is well known we found goals difficult to come by last season and with Ryan now in our ranks we have a proven goal scorer who we are confident will convert the chances on offer.

“We would like to extend a warm welcome to the player and wish him every success at the football club.”
