Another week, another tournament. Tonight sees Warriors kick-off their Anglo-Welsh Cup campaign against Sale Sharks.
Backs coach Sam Vesty is overseeing the team, which is packed with a blend of youngsters, some of which are making their debut, and players returning from injuries.
After a positive start to the European Challenge Cup, where Warriors picked up a win and losing bonus point, Vesty will be looking to replicate further decent performances in the Anglo-Welsh.
Vesty, who enjoyed a spell as England’s skills coach in the two-Test tour against Argentina this summer, believes tonight’s opposition will be physical and that the match will be decided by ‘who wants it more’.
The Anglo-Welsh has traditionally been used as a competition to blood academy youngsters and Vesty is confident his side’s younger players will ‘flourish’ tonight.
Kick-off against Sharks is 7.45pm.
