Why the Blue and Whites are becoming the Yellow and Blues

Worcester Editorial 10th Mar, 2022   0

WORCESTER’S blue and whites will become yellow and blue for the remainder of the season after City revealed their support for the people of war-torn Ukraine.

Tim Harris’s men will take to the field for the remainder of the Midland Premier Division campaign in their away shirts in a mark of solidarity for the country and its people.

On the field, City will be looking to build on their recent win over Highgate United with two games in five days.

The ‘yellow and blues’ drew 1-1 at Walsall Wood on Tuesday night and return to Claines Lane on Saturday (March 12) when Racing Club Warwick are the visitors (3pm).

Saturday’s clash will be the first of 10 matches in just six weeks as City look to complete the season on the revised date of April 23.

While they are 24 points behind runaway leaders Hanley Town, Harris’s men are just seven points off second-placed Boldmere St Michaels.
